Black Nurses Matter – Call to action

How is your NHS Trust protecting black and minority ethnic (BAME) staff during the second wave?

Are you an agency nurse who was deprived of PPE in the first wave?

Were you forced to work on the Covid wards because you are an agency nurse or a bank nurse?

When will the recommendations be implemented for BAME staff in your trust?

Black nurses matter – this is a CALL TO ACTION!

BLM brings out to vote – big time!

The BLM movement has radicalised and inspired many black and white people in the US and the fervour and commitment to racial equality has found its way to the ballot.

Young people in particular are turning out in huge numbers, as our women to protect their rights and older people to protect their health from the criminal currently in the White House, and of course black people (apart from one or two rich rapper Uncle Toms) who are beating back the Republican voter suppression tactics of old.

The brutal murder of George Floyd by US police has sparked a global wave of demonstrations calling for justice both for George Floyd and the millions affected by racism.

This online meeting will hear from anti-racist and civil rights figures from both sides of the Atlantic, including Rev Al Sharpton, who has played a leading role in the Floyd family’s fight for justice, on what we can do to build pressure.

As well as challenging racist policing, the meeting will also discuss how this movement can win gains on institutional racism in work, housing, education, and the massively disproportionate affect COVID-19 is having on Black communities.

Tribe Named Athari (LDNBLM) calls ‘conversation’ RALLY – brixton, friday 24th july 5pm

Tribe Named Athari (formerly LDNBLM) invite you to link up.

Windrush Square, Brixton, London

Friday, 24th July 5pm

A rally happening in the heart of Brixton. Less of a demonstration and more of a conversation.

A platform for discussion and expression!

We want to bring further understanding to who we are and what we stand for.

Tribe Named Athari (TNA) was formerly LDNBLM and were keyfacilitators in some of the major London protests.

‘Athari’ is Swahili (we think) for impact.
